I know this is a common problem but I have spent two weeks on this and searched the net for advice. I have tried everything!
I have an existing website (or really a web doc) that needs to have server side PDFs generated from the pages. It has been working without issue for around 2 years. I moved the site to a new Windows 2008 server running iis7 from its original windows 2003 server. Initially there were issues running 32 bit software on a 64 bit machine (we have tried both and got both running), but these are resolved and we can now generate PDF's of high quality; but only of the log in screen? Now here is the really strange thing. If I run a copy of the site on a local machine, and point it to the live website (http://xxxxx.co.uk/content.aspx), the log in is accepted and the correct pages are printed. However, if I deploy exactly the same code and run from the server the log in is never authenticated, and is redirected to the log in screen to go no further.
I know the code works we have set up trials using various windows versions and everything works, as long as its not iis7. It is as if the server refuses to allow authentication from within itself?
I know the problem is not with the software, it works, so does the basic code, its a problem with the operating environment or iis7. Has anyone met this or have any advice on a way around it?
