permission to run the RECONFIGURE statement in sqlserver 2008

Hi,

I am working on project. in that i hav an Excel file that contains student register number and admision number. i want to update student registration number using this excel file. i done this by succesfully in localserver, but not working in server.
Pl's help me?...

Error showing in runtime:::

User does not have permission to perform this action.
You do not have permission to run the RECONFIGURE statement.
