error while installing VS 2010 ultimate edition on windows 7 home basic 64bit

Hi All,

I have purchased new dell laptop with windows 7 home basic edition.

I am trying to install VS 2010 ultimate edition on my new laptop but its getting errored out.
I suspect my VS 2010 is 32 bit copy as I was working on 32bit before.

But then I googled and seen that 32 bit software can be installed easily on 64bit machine in programfilex(x86) folder.

I am getting this error in log -

I have manually installed Visual Studio 2010 64 bit Prerequisites (x64) and installed successfully.

Then I have manully updated my .NET framework also by reparing it.

My Windows Installer service mode is manual in services.msc.

I have cleared my temp files and prefetch files and tried thrice now.

Well looking at the top two errors

I would suspect your installation media is corrupted!

Try downloading Visual Studio Ultimate trial installer from MSDN[^] and use your key to register it. Hope this helps you.
