Insufficient privileges error displayed on deploying SSRS report.

I am trying to deploy a SQL server report.

However,when I try to do that, I get an error saying that
my id has insufficient privileges for this operation.

I am able to build/create reports successfully.
Also, if I try clicking the report server URL again I get the same error message as above i.e.
my id has insufficient privileges for this operation.
I am not able to view the configuration/settings screen which gets displayed on launching the
report server URL.

My ID is added to the local administrators group on the machine where the
SQL reporting services are hosted. Do I need any other rights?

Can anyone please help.
