after downloading the word document at client end click on other button take time

i am generating the word document and opening the word document at client end.
after downloading the word document, if i click on another link to go other .aspx page
or i do any operation.
any operating takes time after downloading the word document at client end.
what should i do to resolve this issue?

Please explain more clearly. Are you saying it is slow after downloading the doc?

yes, its too slow.

I don't think there is anything you can do. The user's system must still be opening the doc or something.
