I have update panel , even if i remove it, error occurs, i use master pages, only if i comment the ajax modal pop up tag in design, the error vanishes..

I used both ajsx:toolkitscriptmanager and scriptmanager of aspx, no use

just to confirm, did you try putting the toolkitscriptmanager in your master page and see if that works?
