Sure, why not, go for it. How would you expect us to answer this? We do not know anything about your requirements, knowledge or skillset.

Hi Radhwane,

As you mentioned your scope is Collaboration, Document management and Networking. Microsoft already launch various features related to it.

1] Collaboration :

The social and collaboration features on My Sites, Team sites, and Community Sites in SharePoint 2010/13 make it easy for users to find and connect with the people and content that matter to them and to share information and ideas.
These are ready templates and rapid custom development is possible.

2]Document management :
The document exchange and management features on Document Centre are available in SharePoint 2010/13 make it easy for users to manage Documents. Eg. Custom Document ID, Document set, Co-Authoring, Check-in/Checkout and many more....
Addition approval Workflow's available for business/social approval requests.

3] Networking :
1st Point explains lot about it. As per networking view there are various models and they contains different architectures. Basically it contains SharePoint Server's[WFE/APP] and SQL Server's.
Backup Servers can be configured, Additional Servers can be attached and detached easily. There are many more things.... :)

In addition there is Fast, Enterprise Search feature which has so many sub features. It can be customised according to requirement.

1) Now the thing is, It $$ COST $$ you much. A SharePoint Foundation is available but SQL Server need licences.
2) Customisation of SharePoint also cost you much but it can be completed in less time than other technology with good built in security.
3) Server physical requirement is high and need admin maintenance.

Finally as developer i like it and refer it .........
Hope you are Good to Go !! :) !!
