Error Starting VS.NET 2012 Ultimate

I newly installed vs.net 2012 ultimate.
when the install process completed it had a message:
"Could not install Microsoft SQL Server System CLR types, package failed.
now when i try to start vs.net an error shows up:

VB

D:\Program Files\ Microsoft Visual Studio 11.01CommonNIX\ devenv.exe
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

what's the problem?
plz help!

This isn't the solution, but I suspect it describes the problem: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/dc58e902-3444-4ff9-8a64-7cc186f624ec/microsoft-sql-server-system-clr-types-package-failed[^] - you need to talk to MS, I think.

When you get an "odd" error message, the first thing to do is google the whole error message - that took me direct to MSDN Social and someone else with the same problem.
