Dear all,

I would like to know how is it possible to implement digital signature in an electronic voting system. What I mean is, a particular person will sign in with his/her ID, but this ID can not be kept in this way in the database, so that any voter can not be linked to his/her vote. However, only the person should be able to trace back his vote.

Any help will be truly appreciated.

Thank you.

Get hold of a copy of "Applied Cryptography" by Bruce Schneier, and start with Chapter 5. He doesn't give your answer on a plate, but there's enough there for you to work out a system. It also helps to read the rest of the book so you can avoid the more obvious security weaknesses.
