Hi,

Can any one provide me the interview questions for 4+yrs experience in .net and sql server 2005. I heard that most of the interviews they are asking about the WCF and WPF.

If that's what you heard, then that's what you should study up on. Chances are pretty good that they'll be asking fairly basic questions, but that really depends on the amount of experiecne they're looking for. Without a fairly basic understanding of the cited technologies, you're going to have a hard time during the interview. Knowing specific answers to specific questions will NOT carry you through the interview if you can't answer unexpected questions.

In short, you might be able to talk the talk, but you better be able to walk the walk.

Of course you're right. Majority of questions in real practice are so idiotic so I would rather worked with candidates who failed them! I use my own methods but cannot say they are much better. At least I never require buzzword, memory and even intellectual exercise (in many companies they love them, but this is stupid as well). Job needs ability to understand, which is hard to access.

If you're asking such question, I would question your ability to evaluate candidates.
Also, goo interview questions are really hard to invent; I rarely share them (but I do; the potential interviewer should pass my interview though).

Those interview questions stimulate learning by heart, not understanding!
Sorry, I will don't recommend them.
Those question will only chase wise hard-working developers who find it boring to learn all that but know there tools very well and can find good solutions.

Me too. But I just gave him centralized answer for him(like collecting stones/sand to build a sand house for a kid).

Agree but I don't want him to get disappointed(because his expectation is similar of my answer) :-)

I can understand you motivation, sure, but this is still my opinion.
Industry generally suffers from poor judgment of developer's capabilities, but this in not an evil will of anyone: the industry itself is immature and most places professional culture is still rare.

I agree your both comments SA. But the biggest funny thing is he was asked the question & mentioning that 'need for 4+years experience'.

I didn't really understand what's so funny about 4+ years. Is it too little or too much?
(I remember there was very good article called like "Teach yourself programming in... 10 years.) To me, all that years is pretty much idiotic as well, especially "how many years in Java, how many years in C#"? Starting certain level it's never important...

Actually Interview questions are classifying as basic, intermediate, advanced, not based on years,....that's what I said.
(Ex1. Need java interview questions for 5 year experience....which is funny)
(Ex2. Need java basic interview questions.....which makes sense)

That is a bit saddening. (Just out of curiosity: How can you check this yourself. Or did you derive that by seeing that I have platinum status and the result ( 1 + 5 ) / 2 is exactly 3?
