I'm new to CVS. Want to try out a project in CVS.
But I can't find any suitable beginner projects/sites. Can you give some recommendations on specific projects/sites.

My preferences are:
Beginner projects so that I can learn the process of collaborative development using CVS
Web development:HTML,JS,CSS, Jquery, (if possible-->)ASP.NET
& C

Thanks!

Find a local store, and ask if they would like to have a site for the store. And then implement what they need. You'll learn a lot with a real site/project.

I'm just curious: did you ever try to address any local store with such offers? :-)
(I don't mean the case when you're well familiar with the store owners.)

Sure, it could be. In my country there are many places that would like to have at least a simple site for free. That depends which store you think, it just an idea. I haven't tried it.

Interesting.
I don't think it can possibly work in US, except the case of well familiar people (which also hard to imagine). OP is from US, too.

Well, thank you very much for answering. Even though I don't think it's realistic, 5 for just the idea.

By the way, I see no sense in CVS at all (if I correctly understand to abbreviation).

Do you mean Concurrent Versions System? Forget it! It's long gone, replaced with Subversion and newer systems.

Please see this discussion: Revision control systems, which to choose from?[^].

Ya, I meant Concurrent Versions System.
Now that you have said Subversion is better.

Can you tell me the same for SVN. I have TortoiseSVN
but need some beginner projects to work with them. Refer my main Question
:)
