I am Alexander, Maui, Hawaii

I tried to create the above, including your brilliant suggestion of having an 'online' 'not online' icon.

However, after pasting your code and my yahoo ID into the HTML, said icon and link to the yahoo messenger don't show in my website.

Q: What could I have done wrong?

Mahalo.

Do not repost!

Well, the second thing is reposting your question because you didn't get a timely answer.

The first thing was posting your question in the wrong place.

Don't post this under Questions & Answers - if you got the code from an article, then there is a "new message" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.
