RUN finds the exe of the keyword you typed and runs the exe.

Like notepad for notepad.exe
winword for winword.exe
excel for excel.exe

the RUN searches for the executable's with the keyword you typed.

RUN runs not only executable's but also system utilities like
Services.msc - For Viewing all services
GPEdit.msc - For Group Policy Editor
regedit.exe - Registry editor.

There will be no linking with RUN and the application with the Keyword.

Hope this helps.

Either place your Exe or a shortcut of the Exe inside the WINDOWS (if your OS is XP. if not the corresponding Windows folder)folder.

Now go for run command and type your exe name it will open.
