How do I import a .BAK file into Microsoft SQL Server 2008 r2

Already you took bakup and now You need to Restore the Database ? ? right

i download a .BAk file from internet and now i want Restore this to my database ok

Solution 1

Hello,

You just open sql server and rightclick on database folder
than choose attach option
after that click on Add button.
than choose .bak file from your local drive

when file is successfully add than check the checkbox on database detail portion and than press ok button

I can only add .mdf files when add .BAK file say this error:
is not a primary database file
