MFC application hangs on calling a function from a dll

Hi,
I have a MFC application which calls a function from DLL and that function in dll further calls a function from ATL exe. The problem is that MFC application hangs till the function returns from ATL exe in the dll. Please help to resolve the issue.

You may call the function in a separate thread, I guess.
