Is .net framework 4.0 is ready for production environment ?

Dear All,

My organization want to develop a web application in .NET framework 4.0 with VS 2010. I want to know if framework 4.0 and VS 2010 are ready to deploy in production environment? Are there any known issues to go ahead with this environment? Please guide me

As far as we can determine, yes it is. We're using it, but as with any more to any framework, only you can decide if it is ready for production by ensuring you test thoroughly before deployment.

VS2010 would probably be deployed on the developer production - not on the production environment.

However, both VS2010 and framework 4.0 are not in beta or RC anymore and have just been released by Microsoft.

It's an brand new product with lots of new changes like IDE enhancement,UI & controls improvements,
From Developers point of view more that just normal developement, now we can concentrate more on Business Applications & More Logical way to develope the Application's using (MVC, Entity Model , Reporting etc.)

It's future proof Product.
