Am developing a software that is surpose to search for a records in a database when it`s referential intergrity are satisfied.By entering a keyword or key the record relating to that key or keyword should pop up.
Am using vb.net 2008 profersional edition.I have design the database in Acces and done the report with the crystal Report and connected to vb.But the only thing left is how to use the SQL (structured query language )to search for a record in the database that is already connected to vb, when a keyword is entered.

1. What are the steps in the codes.

Before steps, tell us what you have done so far. That would show your proficiency and understanding on the subject.
Have you tried anything so far? Any ground work?

What have you done so far, what is the exact problem? It looks like you don't even know about the basics of selecting a record from a database.

as previous posters have said you haven't shown what you've tried with

1. SQL code
2. a narrative as you feel that you need help approaching the problem

as it does show that you have a lack of understanding you need to do some research / learning into the subject. buy some books / get some training or even use the internet and look up examples
