Having been feed an all-too-steady diet of resort-news channels, I've been watching the Brexit event with some interest and lots of amusement.

As always, just follow the money. Who gained most from it?
It certainly wasn't the morons who followed the rhetoric and voted to exit; they'll lose as much from it as almost everyone else will.

Last night a storm came through; we heard something fall but couldn't see it.. until this morning. I have a large tree (12 - 14 inch diameter trunk) hanging over my driveway.
I can get my car under it, so I'm not stranded, but our SUV is not going anywhere...
Wasn't planning to work from home today, but glad I have the option.
It will be cut, split, stacked as firewood for this winter.

You were supposed to not hear it as you were not there to see it! Jussaying!

The tree should not have made a sound in the first place, since there was no one listening.

But it wasn't in the woods, so there's no saying if it was too loud, too soft, or just right.

Just like my company. R&D may go slooooow without ready access to tools we need. But if it's good for them it's good for me, after all they pay me to work from 9 to 18, not to produce good quality software faster.

Sorry 'bout that. It appears as if it's archived by Google but has been removed in the wild. It's just a picture of a tree that's fallen onto a house and carved a rather large hole in the roof.

This is the 3rd cut[^] in the last 10 months. I'm just waiting for the axe to fall so I can claim my pay-off and bugger-off. Haven't had a pay-rise in 3 years and know I could earn more elsewhere but have been here long enough to make the pay-off reasonably substantial that leaving for another job would almost certainly mean I miss out.
