Is your project a static library, a DLL or an application?

I am not sure, but is the project selected in the tree-view on the left. If you have some file(s) selected, then the link tab may not appear. Also if you have multiple projects selected on the left tree-view, the link tab will not be visible. So try selecting one project name from the left tree view.
this is this.

Dear All,
Is there some open source graphics library that is compatible with unicode. I have checked FreeImage, it really rocks (as for my requirements) but it's not unicode compatible, so when I try to pass it a string (such as a filepath), it would take only const char * . The library should be standard C (since I may have to port the code to many platforms). I would be very grateful if some can guide me to something...

I used paintlib years ago, not sure if it ever supported unicode tho. Why don't you add unicode support, how hard could it be ?

Dear Sir,
Thanks, but you know, I am kindof lazy so I want to go for ready-made thing (since my project is not Image library).
and what about some documation tool?

Okay, lets say I start out to convert it to support Unicode support, there's a confusion, "Will the library still be platform independant" i.e. does ANSI/ISO C (not C++) support unicode?

I have no idea - C99 might.

I have an activex component that I want to use. The problem is that I don't know how to change the properties of the control dynamically. Is there any way to do this, or are properties purely bound to whatever values I give in the rc editor at compile time?
Thanks for your consideration,
Sean

Most controls will give programmatic access to the properties, although doing so isn't a requirement. This functionality will be exposed through interfaces on the control, typically the IDispatch interface. If you're using MFC's wizards a dispatch driver will be generated to make calling the methods trivial.

When you install a BT dongle, the driver registers one or more virtual COM-ports.
Simply open the virtual COM-port as an ordinary COM-port and you wil be fine.
If you need guidelines for serial programming, have a look here[^].
Hope this helps

It's supposed to be hard, otherwise anybody could do it!

Check out the WMI Win32_BIOS class.

Hello everyone!
Alright... I formatted my laptop, but now VC++ won't install! It says I was entitled to use it until June 30, 2003, but I've been using it all this time with no problems... I remember last time I installed VC# from the set of CDs (that came with my C# course) first, but now I tried the same thing and it won't work! Anyone know of a workaround to this? Thanks!

Have you tried setting the clock back on your laptop?
(When doing embedded development with pSOS years ago, we had a problem transfering the license for the cross-compiler, so I had to set my computer to November 1998 every time I did development with it.)

In case you hadn't noticed, that date passed a while ago... Are you trying to install an expired beta version?

Yeah, it's the Everett beta of November 2002 (which I got in a nylon bag for 99 cents on a thrift store... ), and yes, it was a while ago, but I was using it all this time without any problems... don't know how I did it last time... But the clock trick is good enough, except for the error message I get about incorrect date before Windows starts...

You missed the point I was making. Maybe I shouldn't be so subtle.
You're entitled to use it until June 30, 2003. It's after that date. Therefore you're not entitled to use it. Simple.

I have two files. For ex: The column1(Name of the column is time) in file1 has the folowing data:10,11,12,13,14,15,17
Column1 in file2 has the following: 10,11,13,14,15,16,17.
Note:16 is missing in file1.
Just ignore the column which is missing in any file and procedd to the others
I need synchronize both the time columns so that they have equal times. How can i handle this?

It almost sounds like you need a merge sort.
