A red dot is the breakpoint and a red circle is a disabled-breakpoint. Normally F9 adds/removes breakpoints and doesn't disable them so I'm guessing you will have to change a setting for this.
If you press CTRL B you will be presented with the breakpoint dialog where you can disable/remove them all in one step.

but I did it before with just F9 and no ctrl+B and they had gone without any circles left? It is just started recently I dont know why.

worse, they start to appear at random where I have not put them after running debug mode!

That sounds like your debug database is out of sync with your source code. You may need to to a complete rebuild (or clean and build) of your project.

A red circle appears if the function is out of scope or the breakpoint is not on a valid line.
Check. Is there any mis-match in the dll used and the source code used?
Also check for the tools-options-format settings of ur VC++ IDE.

I use no dlls
I remeber I changed tool-options-text editor-c/c++ tabs size or something from default 4 to some value and then all tabs shifted in code and I returned 4 again and all restored. I think after that episode bp started to appear spontaniously!
Whats the problem?

If you have an "example.cpp" file create a new (console) application and replace the new source file with your own file. Good luck!

Though a time consuming process but effective.Follow the steps:-
1) Open the binary (.exe's) files in binary mode.
2) Read each bytes till EOF
3) Check each bytes whether it is a char or not by using the Character Classification methods in MSDN.Like IsAlpha() ..etc
4) Store the chars and do what ever you want!
5) Last but not least close the file.

that is not efficient way, as you can find ascii chars when then don't represent a string, and when then strings are in UNICODE charset, then you'll get in trouble...

I use SetBkColor and SetTextColor functions in OnCtlColor
to set colors for controls.
When I set controls as disabled (EnableWindow(FALSE))the
text color is changhed in gray.
Is there a simple way to control disabled controls text
color ?

Sorry to say, but the answer is NO. Only you overwrite the drawing routines for those controls.

In windows we have a Authentication dialog box at login level to type password and username. I have some hardware to scan and validate the user's finger prints .Is there any way to override this windows Authentication mechanism and use mine?
Does windows support any API's ?

Hello Guys,
I have list control on a dialog box. When i click a header(column name) of the list control it should be sorted(ascending or descending) autimatically. Is there any property to set this or i need to write this sorting logic itself ? Please reply soon if you guys know this it's urgent. Thanks!
