If I remember well, some one has brought up this issue recently.
Refer this[^] post, which was reply to Programm3r's question.
But it comes under my previous reply, whose question was deleted by OP.

The problem is that people can abuse this and upload inappropriate material. It's a tough one.

It's just my opinion. I think that the UI of CP Discussion Board doesn't looks like a forum.
Could anyone please tell me why it looks like that? and Any plan to change?
Thanks in advance.

What would you like it to look like?
It was designed to display threaded discussions. I will be adding a mode where it can display messages in flat, unthreaded form for those who want that.

The option to collapse a thread then expand for more is great. This is one of the better forums I visit. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Clyde

It looks more like a forum than any other forum software I've seen. You can at least track the various threads of discussion here.
On other forums it becomes very difficult to read. It is also difficult to contribute if the discussion has been going for a while because your responce to the OP gets takked on at the end, rather than in its proper place.
Michael Sync wrote: Could anyone please tell me why it looks like that?
Because it is better than the rest.
Michael Sync wrote: and Any plan to change?
If there is I hope the threaded version stays for them that want it.

Agreed. The problem is that the average young prole these days hasn't seen anything except a flat threaded board and find themselves unable to wrap themselves around it. Meanwhile, those of us who've been on the net for a decade plus grew up with fully threaded forums if not usenet, and spend our time cursing flat threaded systems that cause threads to collapse under their own weight after more than a few dozen posts.
Forum software that does both is essentially nonexistent. And if you want to add an NNTP feed or email list support it's even worse.

Community Server does both offers differnt views and NNTP access.

I was wondering why CodeProject doesn't have a forum for VBScript? Would that fall under Visual Basic or Web Development, or does it depend on what you are trying to do with the script?
Trinity: Neo... nobody has ever done this before.
Neo: That's why it's going to work.

A green bar appears half way across the page when using the following Mozilla browser...
Mozilla 1.2.1
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20030225.
Also, I am not able to wrap my code in <code> and other tags. Some other text gets wrapped inside those tags.
The emoticons gets inserted somewhere else not at the point where my cursor is.
Just bringing these issues to your notice.
Thanks.
