I am generating a radiobuttonlist and adding them in a placeholder control. Following is the code:

 DataSet dsUserTypes = new DataSet();
 int CompanyId = Convert.ToInt32(ProjectList.SelectedValue);
dsUserTypes = u.GetUserTypesforProjects(CompanyId); // Gets the data from database.

RadioButtonList UserTypes = new RadioButtonList();
UserTypes.ID = "UserTypesList";

for (int j = 0; j <= dsUserTypes.Tables[0].Rows.Count - 1; j++)
{
    UserTypeName = dsUserTypes.Tables[0].Rows[j]["SecurityGroupName"].ToString().Trim();
    UserTypes.Items.Add(UserTypeName);
    UserTypeName = "";
}
RadioButtonPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(UserTypes);

Following is the placeholder control in htmld code:

                       <asp:PlaceHolder ID="RadioButtonPlaceHolder" runat="server"></asp:PlaceHolder>
                       </td>

The user types will vary from 4 to 5. How should I come to know that which radio button is checked by the user? Can anybody please help on this? Thanks in advance.

i have to fire button click through javascript
i have folowing code

function IfExists2(msg)
{
var agree=confirm(msg);

if (agree==true)
document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_LinkButton1').OnClick();
}

it runs in Internet explorer but not in firefox..

ERROR MESSAGE :

Exception: TypeError: document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_LinkButton1").OnClick is not a function

help

Try using
document.getElementById('ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_LinkButton1').Click();

I'm having problem publishing a web site on a remote server within a LAN. When I choose remote site and then click on new web site, in the popped window, I type http:\\ICT-RC-05\site(remote computer's name\site's name), when I click OK, I get an authentication required window popped out. Which asks for user name and password for the remote computer and it doesn't let me pass through with any pair of user name and passwords my remote computer's name is ICT-RC-05 and has no password. what should I do?

I experienced something similar,
To skip this problem create a setup project and run it from the server you want to deploy to

foreach(Minute m in MyLife)
myExperience++;

get rowindex of the selected item...

Hi everybody,

I am unable to get the index of the row which is selected by the user through checking a checkbox.
After getting the index I want to delete the row directly from the datagrid on that particular index.

I want to retrieve text of link button. I am using following code but it is not working.

var LblCountry =document.getElementById('" + lnktext.ClientID + "');
var ltext= LblCountry .value;

when print this value using alertbox it shows as undefined

Can anybody tell me how to retrieve link button value.

Hello,

Using view source option of browser, Check that ClientID you are passing as argument and actual id are same.

document.getElementById("lnktext") has no properties

I have a form with some textboxes and a dropdown list.

The dropdown list has a high number of items in it and I want to be able to type in a textbox which will prompt the dropdown list selected text to select the list item which closely matches.

so for instance if I have a dropdown list with Text Items :
c tutorial
c datatypes
c arrays

and I type in the Textbox C language

then I want the selected Item in the dropdown list to be 'c tutorial' as this is the first item which closely matches the entry in the textbox.

can anybody help?

Sounds like you need to be using the AutoCompleteExtender in the Microsoft AJAX toolkit.

Hi all, I am facing a problem in generating an excel file from an ASP.Net Web Application. When I run the code from within Visual Studio 2005, the file generates properly without any problem, whereas, When I configure the application in IIS and run the same from there, no file is getting generated and the page seems to be hung up. What might be the reason.

I have included Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll 11.0. Kindly help me.

I guess... there might be some permission issue, where the IIS user cannot write on the directory.

Hi Abhishek, how do I set the permission for the anonymous user on the folder where I wish to write the excel file.
