Hi,
How can i merge two Xml files using VC++(console application)..im not allowed to use managed code.bcos our project is in vc++ only..

To do XML reading, writing and manipulation, you could use one of the many C++ XML libraries that exist, such as MSXML or libxml. Beyond that - well, it all depends how you intend merging the XML files, doesn't it.

Another one that seems popular (I have never used it) is TinyXml[^]

Not that the OP needs to worry about at this point. Wink | ;)

RapidXML[^] (yes, it lices up to its name) is another one I've used. It's easy to incorporate it into your projects as well:

Entire parser is contained in a single header file, so no building or linking is neccesary

If I were a cynical person, I'd be suspicious that two posts asking how to merge XML files were seen in the forum on the same day, and that the OP of one of them replied to my reply in the other thread. Only if I were cynical, though....

Hai!

I am using JASPER library for a WINCE application, it has some WINCE unsupported functions lie open(), close (), tmpfile () etc. I could replace most of the functions with those supported in WINCE, but i couldn't replace two functions required in jas_stream.c and jpg_enc.c, the two files use
tmpnam() and tmpfile() functions in jas_stream_tmpfile () and jpg_encode () functions
sample code is below

tempnam (obj->pathname); // within jas_stream_tmpfile () function

and

if (!(output_file = _tmpfile())) //// within jpg_encode () function

{
..
}

What are the eqivalent functions of tmpnam() and tmpfile () for WINCE, i reffered the following : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/99456
Please tell equivalent functions or any workarround so that the overall functionality is not affected.

What is the functionality of these 2 functions?
From the name of it, it looks like the following 2 functions that are available in CE.

GetTempFileName<br />
GetTempPath

Actually that part of code designed in jas_stream.c and jpg_enc.c (which are present in Jasper folder of CxImage) is not even clear to me!!

so i am confused to what must be the values of the parameters

As of functionality of tmpname (), it chooses a temporary file name
and tmpfile () creates a temporary file and returns a pointer to that stream.

Hello All,

I have seen the NTFS undelete code on this site. I have also created a similar application to create a copy of file by reading its information from the metadata files on NTFS. The undelete code helped me a lot.

Now I want to create a copy of encrypted file. I have retrieved the EFS attribute from the MFT record and copied encrypted source file's data to destination file. But I could not find structure for EFS and do not know how to decrypt the file's data.

Can anyone give me a idea of how can I decrypt file's data using the information from the EFS(Encrypting File System) attribute ?

Add the name of the .lib file in Additional Dependencies in Project Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Linker -> Input.

Another way of specifying the library you want to link against is to add a line like this to one or more of your .cpp files:

#pragma comment(lib, "name-of-library-file, e.g. user32");

This adds something to the compiled object code that tells the linker that it should link against the named library.

In addition, you need to specify the directory containing the library in the project's properties, in the Linker->General->Additional Library Directories property.

Don't know what you mean by "create a mountable drive", but take a look at SetVolumeMountPoint.

I'd like to be able to mount "myspecialnetworkdrive" to my Z: drive.
I'd like the file list, and file contents to be under my program's control -- i.e. I would be the network source of those.

you can always call the process subst

SUBST [drive1: [drive2:]path]
SUBST drive1: /D

drive1: Specifies a virtual drive to which you want to assign a path.
[drive2:]path Specifies a physical drive and path you want to assign to
a virtual drive.
/D Deletes a substituted (virtual) drive.

Type SUBST with no parameters to display a list of current virtual drives.

Hi,
please let me know how to merge two Xml files..ie i have an xml old Xml file(A.xml) and i need merge this Xml file to a new Xml file(B.xml) ..So that i can see the values of both old and new Xml files in New Xml File(B.xml)...

im using Win32 Console project..
