I admit, I did feel compelled to tick other, as I am quite sure chocolates are the guest of honour in the Other section (it's a girl thing - men will never understand chocolate the way we do )

That's coz chocolate is chemically very close to some chemical that gets released in your brain when you, um.... feel loved. Apparently there is no male equivelant, dammit.

"Other substances with mood elevating effects are also found in chocolate. One is phenethylamine, which triggers the release of pleasurable endorphins and potentates the action of dopamine, a neurochemical associated with sexual arousal and pleasure. Phenethylamine is the chemical released in the brain when people become infatuated or fall in love."
And apparently us guys have as much of it as women do. Women are probably just better attuned to it

Sorry Christian but you are married, have kids and you still can't say it out loud?
I guess that is why the girls love you though huh. That shy side always does them in.

Really ? I did not know that.

After nine years of marriage, 'it' is mostly a distant memory. It's hard to speak of things you can barely remember.

I agree, there is nothing quite like chocolate to cheer a girl up on a rainy day

In fact I think I will have some at tea break!

Make sure to break it to her with a box of Cadbury's Milk Tray. The news will slip down better that way

Probably not then. I fear and respect chocolate, but doubt i will ever understand it. Same with caffeine, incidentally.
A few years back, i worked for a time at a manufacturer of chocolate candies. We did chocolate-covered cherries, chocolate-covered fudge, chocolate-covered marshmallow bunnies/santas/trees, etc. Snacking was encouraged. During this period, i ate between 1 and 2 pounds of chocolate every day...!
I left after they took the chocolate line out; my female coworkers, who had previously been fairly cheerful and relaxed, suddenly became very anxious and crabby...
