Hi everyone, i´ve been looking deeply on the web but i just can do it.. i want to send emails with MAPISession1 in Visual Basic 6.0 but with diferent account from the active one that i have in my session in windows.
I belong to a generic account in a network and i can send mails directly in outlook with that account(just if i change the from field), but i cant figure how to send emails within code specifing the generic account, i tried to change the parameter MAPISession1.Username = "GenericAccount" but the mail is still taking the MAPISession1.SessionID that i think is taking from my outlook session, because everytime that i debug it, it take some weird diferent number each time.
Is there a way to specify the sender either in outlook or the vb coding?

As far as I know, you don't. Those are secondary data files and, combined with the master, make up the database. You do not manipulate the data in the files through anything other than the interfaces provided by the database. There is no supported method that I know of for getting at the data in the secondary files without going through the database.
This question belongs in the General Database forum, not VB.NET.

Wrap it as an ActiveX control, and create an instance in VB6. Search for "VB6 Interop Toolkit" if you want to use more/other controls/forms in VB6.

I would say don't do it.
Why not just use the VB6 Timer control[^]. It does exactly the same job and it is already there for you to use without any messing about.

There's multiple levels of stupidity in this, but the part where you still use VB6 definitely takes the cake.

I was going to reply that you should write an article until I noticed it is VB6 compatible, so don't bother, writing an article gor a language that has not been supported for a number of years is sort of stupid.
