Total reputation of a member and color of member level (silver, gold etc.) is displayed at the answer. I think if the reputation under Authority (answering questions) category with the member level under this category is also given then immediately one can have an idea about the member with regard to answering the questions.
like 6.1K/25K
Sometimes, I have observed that a member having silver under participant category (which I think is somewhat easy to obtain as 400 points are awarded for sign up and opting for news letters and then 5 points are given for voting a survey), will be displayed in silver color, whereas his reputation under Authority is bronze with less points.

You should in my opinion. The newsletters aren't intrusive, they're rather quite informative and well designed, and you're supporting the site as they contains some ads.

Im not sure about this... for instance members like myself have built up points under author and so I am shown as gold. However, while I don't answer lots of questions, when I do people seem pretty happy with the answer. So what I'm saying is that your idea may introduce a level of disregard for lower level members even if they are very good answers...

Agree with you. If I answer a question my participant points will show me as bronze member in Q/A section.

Well, I partially agree with you here in the sense that I believe the current showing in a QA answer of the total reputation is not useful: it's even mis-leading.
Why do I say mis-leading ? ... because total rep includes Lounge rep Points, which I consider to be within CP the equivalent of a plague of locusts on a Kansas cornfield 
imho, the only thing that should be shown in QA answers is reputation as Author/Expert/Scholar/Authority: and color: do you really need color here ? Simpler is better ?

I agree, blabber points make total reputation meaningless as a measure of technical know-how.
In fact I suggested long ago to somehow represent the combined Author+Authority points where answers/discussions are viewed; for the same reasons, my CP Vanity app can show total rep excluding Debator points.

First I think moving asp.net to web development category makes sense. But I don't understand why wcf was not included in the reordering.

WCF is not a web technology, so it makes sense to leave it where it is.

The scenario is:
I have answered a question. I see that my reputation point increased. After a while I saw that my solution was not the perfect answer and decided to delete it. So I went ahead and deleted it. When I checked my rep. points it was still the same. I thought it would deduct the points back again? Normally shouldn't it?

Hi there,
Increasingly now I see questions in Q&A that link to other websites or user's own websites so that they can provide videos or screen shots of their problem. I, having done some work in web development, certainly appreciate screen shots as being a valuable source of reliable data about a problem because they do not rely upon human interpretation of the issue...but I am probably speaking to those who already know this and all the other reasoning (arguments?  ) around screen shots.
Therefore, I would like to suggest hat Code Project provides a feature for uploading one or two screen shots with a Q&A question as this would not only make it more convenient to read/answer questions but would also encourage people to add screen shots which can be very valuable.
Hoping to see this in the future,

With screen shots both question and answer can be understood quickly and clearly.
I think particularly it will be useful for other readers who have not asked that question or answered that question.

Well if so that's good Seems like others would like it too. I had tried searching CP but all I got was a lot of messages on the bottom of articles. Is there a way to search a specific forum? If not, I feel another suggestion coming on...

It appears that the Insider forum is being spammed with news stories; mostly by one person.
The chances are high that the news story I would like to post about has already been posted. If it deters me from posting, then I wonder how the rest of the community feels about this forum right now.

Terrence is the Insider. He posts the news items that are included in the Daily Insider, and I mirror the stories in the Insider forum to allow discussions on them in one place.
