Me and Griff were clearing spam he was pointing to. So within minutes, no one was able to see the messages.

All the messages contained just 'hiii' and spam in signature and that pattern has been approved as spam by Chris.

Not just in the signature - this message[^] has no spam link, but the profile[^] has a dodgy-looking home-page.

And no, setting your profile picture to an attractive young lady doesn't give you a free pass to post spam! Roll eyes | :rolleyes:

Now I know your secret, I can get a head-start on reporting the next truck-load of spammers. Big Grin | :-D

A search for "hiii" in messages turns up loads of spam in the spammers' personal forums. It's the same trick I noticed back in November (starting here[^] and going on for a couple of pages).

It took me 3 hours straight D'Oh! | :doh:

EDIT: I followed your link and found the spammer still alive! I delivered the 10th kick and killed him on the spot. YAY it's my first confirmed kill!

I upvoted, countering 12 his clicks with one of mine. Not that 2*n clicks can really affect your reputation, but what's plainly wrong... is wrong!

That's actually quite interesting how you got the downvote. I'm not able to downvote your message or anybody else's message in this forum even if I'd want to (don't worry I don't want to downvote messages).

In Spam and Abuse Watch forum all the downvote buttons are disabled for me while I can downvote in Q&A, articles etc...

It is scaled by a multiplier dependant on the level of the downvoter.
For example a Platinum debator has 8 as multiplier, so its -2 is multiplied by 8 => -16.
If I upvote someone I give him 24 points, downvoting I take him away 16, because I'm platinum. A gold member has a multiplier of 4, and silver of 2.

You can up/down-vote message.
Have a look on the left side of message frame (move mouse-cursor to hover that frame). There you'll find 2 arrows: the green one is for upvote and the gray one is for downvote.
