... based a successful legal defence on being illiterate at the point of "I can't spell and I write like a 2-year-old".
Funnily enough the tweets from his new twitter account[^] are grammatically perfect (as far as I can tell) with commas and apostrophes in all the right places. So either he's not writing it or he's full of sh*t.

Legal defense has nothing to do with the real world, particularly if you are rich enough to afford a good lawyer.
Ernest Saunders recovered from Alzheimers once he got out of prison, I'm sure Lord Janner will as well...once the Scots decide not to prosecute him.

Hey Griff,
Someone emailed me (assuming I work for CP) regarding getting his account auto-removed due to having been marked as a spamming account. I've redirected him to CP-staff.

I've seen some of his articles/posts here and was just wondering if perhaps there may have been some miscommunication?
Do you remember why exactly you marked him as a spammer?
Thanks.

There's something odd happening here, he's been fairly active lately and seems like a decent fella.

Yeah, he has written good articles and contributed civilly and intelligently in the forums here. That said, I can't imagine Griff being too trigger-happy, which is why I asked him. There were 2 others too who reported him.

That's why I think it's odd.
I've posted a question in sugs&bugs about it. It might be quicker than mail as it's checked by more people.

I don't remember him from Saturday, and he doesn't appear to be in the S&A forum list either.
It's possible he posted a message on Sat which was picked up by the autodetection system and killed via that? But even then I do check them and look for actual spam (and I'd expect Richard does as well).
It's also possible his account has been compromised...

Thanks.
I think his account needs to be reinstated.

Isn't that a sign your account has been compromised?

If the account has been compromised by a spammer, then it gets shut. The original owner can ask for it back, and change his password...it's possible that has happened here, I dunno.

His spelling sucks... Look how he spelled Favorite!!

As an English expatriate, I speak English, and understand American.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.
