 Hello,
I am trying to use the function lineGenerateDigits in order to send a sequence of number after the call is connected.
I call lineGenerateDigits and it's return code is 0. Then, my callback function recieves the message LINE_GENERATE, but the GenerateTermination parameter of this message is always LINEGENERATETERM_CANCEL. My program is waiting for this message so it is not possible that it is trying to generate another sequence of digits.
Any idea why my lineGenerateDigits fails?

From the docs:
"The digit or tone generation request was canceled by this application, by another application, or because the call terminated. This value can also be returned when digit or tone generation cannot be completed due to internal failure of the service provider."
Is your call to lineGenerateDigits() successful? (Does it return 0?). If so, then one of the conditions above has occurred (it's probably been cancelled by either your app or another app - do you have any other telephony apps running?). If not, then you've setup the call incorrectly somehow.

The call to lineGenerateDigits was successfull. I am recording the call, so I can be sure that the call is still in progress. As far as I understand I can cancel the lineGenerateDigits by calling it again, which is something that I don't do (it is called only once, and I checked that this code is indeed executed only once). I also have no other telephony application running.
As for the last option, I guess that if I have set the call incorrectly it wouldn't have gotten connected (which I know is being done because I record it). Also, I compared my code with some other code examples that I found, and I couldn't find any significant differences...
Any other ideas?
Also, is there any way I can see what the problem was? Is there another way to generate digits?

Sorry, my expertise on TAPI is very, very small  . I find that some people just overlook the obvious, so that's why I responded like I did, but I haven't really looked at TAPI much.

If I load a transparent PNG (for example) and draw it using Graphics::DrawImage(), does GDI+ display the image transparency, or does it ignore it? I can't find any mention of this in the docs.

Yes of course*, DrawImage draws the image with the correct transparency applied. I've used it to draw PNG's on top of eachother with 8 bit transparency and works fine.
of course: That's because GDI+ is a sophisticated graphics api :P

I can change the title at the top of my app window by editing the resource, but I that way is not dynamically.
I want to do it programmatically.

SetWindowText() should do the trick, if you are talking about a MDI project, take a look at the first 100 posts here in the forum, this question has been answered this week...

If i create an item with MF_POPUP propertie, when i use the application, if i go on this item whit thw mouse, the new submenu doesn't appear!

hi,
the best way to capture video , use DirectShow , youwil find many samples and help in MSDN : DirectX -> DirectShow , u can also see DirectX 9 SDK it contains more new feature and may help u.

I agree that DirectShow is the best way to capture video. Besides you can use Video For Windows for the same job, it's much clumsier compared to DirectShow but does not require DirectX.

Since DirectX has been bundled with Windows ever since Win98, that's not really a problem any more
But then again, VFW doesn't require you to know COM

Here's a puzzle for you guys & gals. Someone who's working on a domain model-based system will have a nice solution for me I hope...
The idea of building a domain model is so that the valuable parts of a system (i.e. business logic) are portable and isolated. However, I'm having trouble working out a nice way to move constraints that apply to multiple objects (multiple rows in the same table) away from the database and into the domain model.
For example, the constraint that two customers cannot be given the same names.
The obvious choice is a constraint on the table, however this moves logic out of the domain model.
Mediator classes etc are of no use, because checks cannot be made at the time of commit.
The problem might be associated with the implementation of Unit of Work that I'm using (much like Martin Fowler's) - checks need to be performed at some point in the commit process (any earlier and there is an opportunity for error) but before the end of the committing database transaction (otherwise no rollback is possible).
