Thanks for all the passionate feedback. It has been very helpful, painful, and entertaining all at the same time. We're changing the orange icon to blue for Stable and keeping green for Insiders. That many people care that much about an icon?
So many words in response to so many people about such a minor issue. But, I guess that's the world we live in now.

There are two reasons that I don't use Code:
1) I've never really found a use for it.
2) I don't like the logo.
The more I think about it, the second is obviously more important than the first.
98.4% of statistics are made up on the spot.

Choosing a code repository is an important decision. But how can a team make that choice? Subversion?

Yet another "article" written to fill space. Would have been more useful if it mentioned lesser-known services, like Microsoft, Unfuddle or even, gasp, SourceForge.
(I keep meaning to put some projects on Microsoft, but have so far found that simply archiving my personal projects periodically and keeping the latest/greatest on OneDrive is sufficient.)

As long as my code is on the public servers of a proprietary company where I have no control over it and it will all go if the company folds tomorrow or will be public if the company is hacked, I don't really care which of those repos I use.

That's why I use magnets to keep all of my backup floppies attached to the side of my metal filing cabinet.

It's a shame this is being framed as slow filler news, because this is a pretty immense f'n deal. The DOJ has been swinging their stick with reckless abandon for too long, and this is a big win for consumers driven by industry leaders. Hopefully the momentum will continue and the ECPA will get updated ... oh wait, that requires Congress to do something useful. At least celebrate this one victory, then.

The thin, rubbery sensor can be programmed to control everything from computers to TVs. Anything?

The iSoft sensor is made of a "piezoresistive" carbon-filled silicone rubber, which when touched changes electrical resistance to provide sensing data. Meanwhile, an algorithm allows the sensor to continuously interact with interfaces even while it's being stretched or deformed.
I predict an offshoot to an existing entertainment industry.

Developers already have access to a number of tools that let them see how real-world users experience their websites, but until now they weren't able to see how their website user experience compared to others. Add more orange?

Greenfield the whole thing. Throw out HTML, CSS, Javascript, every MVM framework (yes, that means you, Angular), don't let corporations architect the new web and don't let open source people touch it.
I guess that pretty much leaves nobody.

I just did something similar! I sold everything and bought 733048 lottery tickets. I expect to be a multi-millionaire by Wednesday night, but I'll probably parlay all of the winnings into next week's lottery and be even richer!
