Now the name of that golden chicken still appears in search-engines. And no, didn't report the user - assuming he will be removed once an admin sees the spam. I know, I could have gotten an extra point for it, but seems a bit redundant to do.

The best way to remove spam is to use the reporting links - that way the spam filter hamsters get to learn more so more is filtered out for moderation, plus the Admin get to put their feet up for a little while. It also means that we as a community can purge our site of spam whilst the Admin are asleep

I did. I reported the message, just not the spammer. With all those bright hamsters there, do I seriously need to report someone who has a spam-message on the board and nothing else?
Those the same hamsters that prevented me from posting answers here? If yes, drown them and buy some gerbils.

You do have to separately report the member and the spam, if only because the member needs more kicks to dispose of than the spam.
Which is as it should be: a message going south is one thing, but an account is a more serious proposition.
