Microsoft has published a support document today warning Windows 10 users that the impending May 2019 Update may not install on their systems if they use external USB storage devices or SD cards. Workaround: Users must remove any USB storage device and SD card and restart May 2019 Update installation.

I had one of these log into this site with your webcam and go through our virtual interviews with one of the companies that actually build these systems.
It felt so... disconnected. I could not "read" the interviewer and I really didn't think much for this system. I requested a retraction of my interview and resume.
Fast forward a year or so. Went to a developers symposium and went to see a seminar on micro-services and how one local company implemented this architecture into their system. Low and behold it was my favorite video interview company, and they went through the painstaking process of how they were attempting to break up their blob of a system into something a little more streamlined. The way they were pitching the presentation had undertones of recruitment begging for someone to "help us".
What they had for a system gave me flashbacks of "DLL Hell", and the fresh programmers of today who just throw another framework into the mix. No wonder the thing is such a pig when you have half the NuGet packages known to man being fixed with half of the GIT repositories.
Yep, they have quite a job in front of them. Glad I did not join their team

Long, long ago, Microsoft quietly announced that it was going to remove the venerable mspaint.exe from Windows 10. The app was listed as deprecated, indicating intent to remove it in a future Windows 10 update, and the app itself was even updated to warn users that it was going to be removed from Windows in a future release. Crap artists? My Mom has my work on her phone's wallpaper.

Kent poaches all the time, he just points the insider link directly to the user submitted post. IIRC he occasionally uses secret admin powers to cleanup the original post if it's got minor problems.

AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson today said that 5G will likely be priced similarly to wireline Internet, with customers paying more for faster speeds. Users "are willing to pay a premium" for 500Mbps or 1Gbps, AT&T CEO says. Speak for yourself, Stephenson.
