I did that, too. I would have sworn the first digit was an 8 until I looked a third or fourth time. It must have been, uh, my monitor. Yeah, that's the ticket, it was my monitor.

I see 3452839. Barely.
A while back I saw a similar test of your sensitivity to colors and hues. It was a horizontal bar with small sections that differed very slightly in shade from one to the next, and you counted how many sections you could see. I think there were like 80 different shades, but a lot of people couldn't see but 50-60.

It might be an idea to get an eye test:
People with higher levels of contrast sensitivity are more likely to be able to see all seven digits straight away.
Poor contrast sensitivity can be a symptom of eye conditions including cataracts or glaucoma. I'm tested annually because my mother had glaucoma and it's hereditary.

I'm getting a cataract in my right eye, and I can tell it's going to lead to lots of fun. My eye doctor said folks my age don't normally get them (just my luck) and that she can see it now without dilating my eyes. I am so looking forward to having my eye sliced open in a few years.

I see that there are digits, but the image drives my eyes buggy, so I won't try too hard.
I also note that my "regular" glasses (with progressive lenses) are worse for viewing it while my "computer" glasses (intended for viewing at "screen" distances) are better.

I saw 3 ... then 5 ... then 7. No glasses. I think if you don't "need" to wear glasses all the time, you shouldn't. Muscle exercise (my theory). I'm old.

I first saw 1528. Viewing on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 tablet. But that was sitting in my brightly sunlit solarium without my glasses.
Moving to the office out of the sun and I see 15283. Add my glasses and I still see 15283. Since I'm in my office I look at it on my desktop. Acer 22" 1920x1080 monitor with glasses I see 45283 and can see faint values on either side but can't make them out at all.
On my Pixel 6 Pro I can see all 7 numbers but the outer two are so faint that I'm not sure if I am actually making them out myself (I think I am) or if my brain is supplying the missing info knowing what others have seen.

I see 5283 as soon as my eyes adjust to the weird image. The 34 on the left and 9 on the right I can barely make out exist, then I can see them clearer once my eyes adjust again after noticing them. I wonder if that means I have good vision contrast or bad

It’s hard to see but once you have it you don’t want to change it.
It would be easier if they used more than just black and white because the two tone picture is hard to see on the wall!
