I know the airline reservation industry used to call the exclamation point a Bang and the asterisk a Splat. What other sectors used similar vernacular?

Poor kitty. Hubby's cat had feline IBD that developed into intestinal lymphoma as it does, which is eventually fatal.
We've reached "eventually".
He's such a wreck. Staggering around because he can't eat enough or keep anything down. He went downhill pretty much overnight. I hate to see him suffer like this at the end.
Vet gets here Saturday. He's doing a house call so we don't have to make the cat spend his last day traumatized by car rides and vet visits.
I usually would feel different. With our last cat we had to euthanize (cancer) I dreaded anticipating the moment the vet would arrive. Now I am eager for it, if only because my cat is such a mess right now. I don't want him to be miserable.

I hate making that decision, but it comes to a point where it's the only kind thing to do: we lost Killashandra to bowel cancer (but she had a good long life at 18) and Bill to aggressive FIP shortly before he was a year old - and it really hurt to decide on euthanasia but knew it would hurt them and us even more if we didn't.
Please, accept our condolences in advance: they leave such massive holes in a a house when they aren't there any more.

Sorry to hear, it's one of the most difficult decisions you can make, we made it last year for our pup, god it was awful. That said, having them come to the house made it as peaceful as it could have been. My thoughts are with you and your hubby.
