In my WinForm project, just notice there is a check mark around some forms. I just start to add my project into GitHub. maybe I missed something here...

Basically, it means that the local copy has been changed and that the changes aren't committed to github yet.
Hover your mouse over it, and it'll tell you exactly what it means - it means different things depending on what it's talking about: "Checked in" for newly added items that aren't reflected on the Github server, "Pending edit" for changed items.
To get rid of it, commit your changes.

Not quite as extreme, but here's the sound card I bought years ago at Fry's for ~$30: XS71UV2 Diamond Xtreme Sound 
(there aren't any Win10 or higher drivers for it, although it still works for basic in/out - and they are asking that?!!!)
