Google is your friend: Be nice and visit him often. He can answer questions a lot more quickly than posting them here...

A very quick search using your subject as the search term gave over a million hits: Google "what is difference rest and restful service ,why required?"[^]

REST is an "architectural style" that basically make full use of the existing technology and protocols of the Web.

RESTful is typically used to refer to web services, which implements REST.
