I have assigned to design software with options similar to SCADA products(more or less).
It involves complicated and high GUI requirements.

Now i use Visual studio express edition 2010 . There are many products out there in visual studio like enterprise, ultimate, professional. Which one is better? Please suggest. Some of my friends recommended me VS 2012 pro, some did VS 2015 pro or 2013.

What I have tried:

I found some useful information here
https://www.visualstudio.com/products/how-to-buy-vs. But i couldn't understand exactly about the mentioned subscription terms and all.
But can someone make it clear for me?

Usually you would use the latest version and the appropriate edition. For most people, it would probably be either the Professional or the Community edition if they qualify for. Obviously enterprise is the best edition but also the most expensive.

Thank you

Why not download and try using the free Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition: [^].

But in free version, don't we face problem for licensing?

Sorry not licensing. I mean is it possible to make the project a installation package in free version?
There is a large notice on this page: Visual Studio Installer Deployment[^]. This feature is not available in the express edition of 2010.

2012 express appears to have a limited edition of the installshield technology, so you could upgrade to that version and give it a try.
