How to make my website compatible

please i have problem,i am currently developing a site
but my problem is that it is not compatible with all browsers,
i use fire fox to design but when a tested it in internet
explorer the design change.please i want to advice me on what
to do

What I have tried:

my code is a bit long to paste it just any good advice can serve

Solution 1

Do a few things:
1. Use HTML5[^] and CSS3[^] for the front-end development.
2. Use jQuery to add interactivity.
3. Validate web pages with The W3C Markup Validation Service[^]
4. Use the latest browsers and dump those that do not keep abreast with the times.
