Can any one please help me solve the following error?

Error:

Error   7   Validation (CSS 2.1): 'text-overflow' is not a known CSS property name. G:\WebSite1\notes.css   11  1   G:\WebSite1\

Solution 1

You obviously tried to validate your css against the specification of revision 2.1. The CSS Specification 2.1 does not support the style "text-overflow", thus if it's a nescessity that you adhere to CSS
2.1 specs do this:

Open the file G:\WebSite\Notes.css. search for:

text-overflow:

Comment out these lines or remove them alltogehter.

Problem solved! (Alas I'm sure that you don't see it that way :) )

Must your application adhere to the CSS 2.1 specification?
