Hi,

I'd like to know which languages are most commonly used by these big companies:

1 - Microsoft
2 - Adobe
3 - EA Games
4 - Kaspersky

Thanks.

English.
For programming they will probably use a mixture of C, C++, C#, Java etc.

Kaspersky? Probably Russian.

It makes AntiVirus Software. I have never heard of such language though.

I know that they make AV-software. And they have their HQ in Moscow, thus my comment about Russian.

I was trying to be facetious.

Russian, I'll guarantee that :-)
I cannot imagine they use Russian in programming though.

Either ask Google - may be able to help, especially with MS - or ask them yourself!

Best guess:
MS: C++. Did have a flirt with C#, and has used some WPF
Adobe: Dunno.
Ea Game: almost certainly C++
Kaspersky: Dunno.

Serious attempt to answer to non-serious Question, I would say, a 5.

The code that sees most execution time, apart from the .Net runtime libraries and Java runtime libraries, is probably written in c/c++.

That isn't going to change anytime soon :)

Thank you, SAKryukov! - I did mention the .Net and java runtime libraries (c# and java respectively) :-)
QuickBasic all the way. Seriously though, with development firms, you can often find out what languages are used in a company just by looking at job listings. For instance, here's[^] an advert for Google.
