WCF Service in SharePoint visual webparts

Dear All,

I am using a WCF Service in my SharePoint 2010 visual webpart.The webpart works properly with my intranet wcf connection.But when I use the live WCF connection, it is showing "Unable to connect remote host" error. But using the same connection, I am able to connect from .Net Web Application. Problem is only with the SharePoint webparts. Is there anything that I have to configure?
