If you want to create editor, you must have a sound knowledge of javascript.

it needs a lot of javascript programming to make a editor with various functionality.

and for asp.net part you only can take the control where you can type, so call script from your code.

If you want to use Editor actually you can use any thirdparty tool.

Like ajax toolkit have an editor.
