Suggestions on using JSP

Hey friends. I want to do a web baesd project in JSP.I am a newbie & so need some suggestions. I am using the eclipse(version 3.4) IDE and windows explorer and if on linux then I can use the Mozilla browser.These are the things I know.
Is there anything more that can be useful.Pls give some suggestions. Thanks.

jsp is a nightmare, use ASP.NET instead.
