can a database backup in the form of exe file?

i got a source of a project from somewhere and in the attachment there is an exe file, they say it's your database file. if it a db file, how can i restore it? bcoz after running this exe nothing is happened only a dos screen popups for few moments.
so the question is... what the Hell is this??

Solution 1

Open cmd.exe via startup->run and execute the exe file you have been given.

The exe file probably has switches to run and connect to a SQL server for database restore.

Where did you get the file from? Contact the original person who supplied you the file.

You are discussing something, and in the meanwhile that virus sent via a database blob is probably already eating up OP's system after that EXE was executed. Reformat the system's hard drive and reinstall the system. Next time, be more careful! :-)
