Sql Server 2008 , attaching data base error

hi every one ,
i have install vs 2010 and after that sql server r2 and trying to attach my data base
but Sql server throw me this exception

The database 'XX' cannot be opened because it is version 661. This server supports version 655 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported.<br />
Could not open new database 'XX'. CREATE DATABASE is aborted. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 948)<br />

how can i solve this error , and why Management studio throw me this error ?

Hello

when you take backup at that tine which version of sql you were using?? SQL Allow to migrate lower version to higher, but SQl is not allow to migrate higher to lower. even you have to check edition like express, web server , standard etc. you can attach express to web server , even you can convert web server to standard or express to standard but you are not allow to do reverse
