How to put Nofify Control to my Modem port in CPU

Dear Friends,

Here i have Developed one Sms Based Application it will send Sms through Modem and also i created one Windows Service for this Application up to now its working fine.But my Problem is when Modem is Removed from Cpu(from perticular Com port).It should show some pop up message (Modem is Disconnected),Once again if i kept Modem in Same position to CPU(it Should Show Modem is Connected)How can i do this it should like Notify Control can any information Regarding this please Share Me.
