How to upgrade sql server 2005 to Service pack3

Hi All,

I have already installed MS Sql server 2005 in system. Now i want to upgrade the sql server2005 with Service Pack3. So how can i do this. please help me and suggest me.

Note: if i do upgrade the sql server then should not have to effect on existing data of data base.

Solution 1

Upgrading SQL Server is mostly painless and does not effect your databases.

However it is a good practice to backup your databases first before doing anything.
