interaction of internet explorer with serial port

How can i send a message to serial port of my pc which is recieved through internet and send back answer from serial port of my pc to that path from which message was recieved??????????

I have a pic18F452 microcontroller connected to serial port to answer a specific message recieved from internet.

I'm sorry, but this is nothing more than a fantasy. What do you expect to connect your serial port to the internet ? IE sure isn't talking to the serial port.

If this is remotely possible, it would be through an activeX component that is given access to the hardware on a computer, and I'm not sure if it would even have access to that level.
