disable browser back button

I need to disable browser back button after login and log out just like Gmail.
I used javascript in my master page but it disable the button for all of my forms.Tried to clear cache and other stuffs in my code file but didnt work. A little help would be appreciated

Look i have tried that javasrcipt and it works. As i am using a master page and if i put this sript in my mater it will affet all the pages u knw? is there any optins that i can apply the javascript to the login and logout pages only..huh?..N number of pages including these use a single master page
