"Fields" in a credit card? Whatever that means will probably depend on the credit card company. Visa is different than Master Card.

From fields I meant like "card_number, id, card holder's name" etc..
want both of visa and master card.

Okay and? You would have to go ask Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and any others what all of their information is an how it is stored.

It will depend on what payment processor you are using.

This is very irritating...banks won't provide the transactional data as it is confidential..! need to build my own dataset..

Card holder's name, card number (16), expiry date (mm/yy) and security code (xxx) would be enought in most cases.
For example, some other card vendors, uses different field lengths:

  • Solo or Switch to Maestro uses 19 digits for card number
  • Laser uses 18 digits for card number
  • Amex cards uses 4 digits for CVC
  • some cards has "issue date", which has the same purpose as "CVC" field

As Ryanb mentioned, this should be included in the documentation of your card processing company.
